used rims for sale?

Does anyone know of any companies that sell used boat rims? I'm looking for something fancy like clearcoated or something other then the plain white standard rim I have now. I don't feel like spending $100.00 for new rims, as this is what the cost would be in my area from a tralier shop.<br />I would appreciate any links or names of companies.

Check you local tire, wheel shops, they sometimes have lots of takeoffs, most boat trailers are ford patern, Rangers and Explorers had some decent looking wheels.

Have you considered painting (or having someone paint) your existing rims to meet your requirements? How many rims do you need?

Simple:<br />I do not have access to my trailer right now to measure the offset, but I also have 14" Ford pattern rims. (buried in storage)<br />Not having done anything yet makes me no expert, but I have stopped at an auto reclaimation yard.<br />Lubedude is right, the Broncos had some nice looking rims. Even a wrecked one should have two good ones.<br />I do not know how far into WI you are, but I'm 6 miles south of the boarder along Rt 83. The place I stopped at had any rim for $10. You remove.<br />Just a thought.....

I'm in Racine, which isn't too far from the IL border. What's the name of the place you're talking about? Yeah, the offset concerns me a little. I don't want to go with something that will be different.<br /><br />Roscoe, thanks for the link.

Simple:<br />The place is called Sharp Parts Auto Recyclers, Inc.<br />40035 N Rte 83<br />Antioch, IL <br />847-395-7888<br /><br />From Recine, I'd run west on 50 to 83 south.<br />The place is just south of the intersection of 83 & Grass Lake Rd on the east side of street.<br /><br />Don't expect much if you go. It's a muddy junkyard-pretty much bring boots as you have to remove whatever it is you want yourself.<br /><br />I'll probably do this for a spare, and put a ST tire on it if I can satisfy myself the offset is the same.<br /><br />Good Luck!

I have late 90's 14" Ford Ranger rims. They look fine and were $25.00 each at the junk yard.<br /><br />Bill....
