I'm looking at purchasing a 2001 Twin Vee 17 Fisherman/Classic with a Honda 50 4 stroke and trailer. I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow afternoon. I've read a lot of post where the TV's are either loved or hated. Any whoo, I like the powercat design, the looks and the functionality. Are there any suggestions for what to look for specifically on a used TV? Here are some particulars on the boat.

The boat was moored in a slip at a local yacht club most of its life, barely trailered.
The owner purchased the boat, motor, and trailer new in 2001
Engine was just serviced by a Honda Tech.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,..... An '01 that's been moored all it's life,.... Look for water logged foam, 'n rotten wood structure,....

Blisters in the gelcoat could also be an issue,....

Power catamarans were supposed to give a superior ride in rough water, versus a single deep Vee hull. I never believed that claim. My disbelief was based upon the unlimited hydroplane boat races that are held. In those races the cats are much faster in smooth water, but the deep vee hulls usually win the rough water races.

I have not seen a new Power Cat around here in several years now...
