USING A V8-24S IGNITION MODULE ON A BOAT WITH A V-22A

I have a 1992 Cobalt 206 with quadrajet 5.7L v8 thunderbolt IV ignition, alpha 1 gen 2.

Has anybody swapped there factory V8-22A module with a V8-24S? My boat runs fine but I have a NOS part that i picked up for free and was thinking about using it to see if I notice any gain in start ups, performance or anything else. Just looking for some feedback on this question, pros and cons.

I'd just save it for later. 2 degrees doesn't do much unless you need a broader advance curve.
