I have an Eagle Fish ID unit that is a few years old and the screen is starting to go. My question is can I use the cables that are installed already for this unit and transducer with any other Eagle fish finder or would I need to replace it with a similiar model? Thanks

Re: Using cables from old Eagle set-up

Lowrance/Eagle made adapter cables for many of their units. I currently use one on my old flasher and newer transducer. I'm not sure if they make them for the reverse application though. Close examination of the cable ends should tell the tale. One other problem you might encounter would be a difference in signal power of the units (KHz ?) A 128 KHz power cable will not work with a 400 KHz unit and vice versa. Your instruction manual should give this information.
