Using left-over premix gas in my truck

My outboard isn't going to run any more this year (and maybe not ever again). I have about 40 gallons of premixed fuel in the boat's gas tank. Is there any problem with using this premixed outboard gas in my truck? Its a 2002 GM V-6 with fuel injection. I'm thinking of dilluting it by using about 5 gallons of premix for every 10 gallons of unmixed. Am I asking for catalytic converter, fuel injection, or other problems if I do this?

your asking for major problems. Do not do it you might advertise it for sale to another boater.

only if you are out of gas on the side of the road and
A) your wife is in labor.
B) You are being chased by an axe murderer
c) you really really don't like your vehicle
d) you want to speed up global warming at a geometric rate

ok, the last one doesn't count....but really, don't not a good idea. a litany of problems can happen.

1 gallon of premixed per every 10 gallons of regular gas may be okay.

Not telling you to do it but my grandfather has ran lots of boat gas through his 200000+ mile Ford truck which is fuel injected and it hasnt affected at all.

Ive ran lots of boat gas through lawnmowers, gokarts and my carborated truck. All it does is smoke a little as it burns the oil but it does burn it.

Diluting it is a good idea, I say your fine running 5 gallons to 10 gallons of regular. Worst case scenario I see is the need for new plugs and maybe some fuel injector cleaner.
I wouldnt run it in a high compression motor though that requires high test however.

If dilluted a bit it shouldn't hurt the fuel injection system... that's how we winterize fuel injected boats...
That being said I have no idea how it will effect your emissions systems. (cat converter, 02 sensors etc).
Your best bet is to run most of it through lawn and garden stuff.

Re: Using left-over premix gas in my truck

Sorry, I was distracted last night, so I truncated my answer.
I have run some 50:1 old premix in my 1987 Chevy Van, with TBI. My father in law was just gonna throw it away! But I only used about 2 gallons with about 20 gallons of fresh gasoline in my van's tank. It didn't smoke any at all, and didn't cause any problems.
If your 2002 V6 is TBI, I'd be even more inclined to use it. What is the premix' ratio? If it's 50:1, that's not very much oil at all. Now if it's 20:1, I would make sure to dilute it a lot.

I've done it numerous times and my trucks have always ran fine with it.
5 gallons of premix added to 15 gallons of straight gas is 200:1.
I've diluted it much less then that and didn't notice any difference. No extra smoke either.

Probably no different than putting Sea Foam in your tank since it is half oil. The only problem could be what it does to your O2 sensors.

like the other guy said if your running 50-1 now and you split it that 100-1, and some valve guides/oil rings leak a whole lot more than that if you are worried about the air quality.

I used the entire 60 gallons of 50:1 premix from my boat in my fuel injected 1997 Saturn in the 2 weeks after hurricane Katrina. Couldn't tell any difference at all. Car had 110,000 miles on it then, has 180,000 on it now. Has always ran perfectly.

Doubtful you would even know the difference.
To a tank of fuel. I would put in 5 gallons. You may notice a bit of a smoke but chances are it would dilute.

Your engine will run fine.
I used my old gas for the lawn mowers, weed wacker, pressure washer and my truck (95 Chev, 6 cyl) I had about 1/4 tank of fuel and dumped in abut 3 gallons of year old 50:1. Couldn't tell the difference.
