Well I figured out hoq to change the water impeller all by myself with no manual, but I can not seem to figure out how to add fluid to the tilt/trim system.. Can any one provide me with a slim walk through, the ole "76er" is really sluggish with trying to tilt and trim, really bad on the way down, and I can move the motor easly up and down.. The motor sound to be working fine, just really weak.

Thanks,
Thomas

boaterntexas,

What kind of engine?

If it's an OMC (most are similar) there is a screw that is about midway up the motor/reservoir assembly. You'll have to access it with the engine full up.

Remove the screw, add trim fluid, and cycle the engine up and down several times-repeat.

boaterntexas
You will have a trim pump inside the boat, on the front right hand corner (looking at the pump) there will a cut down recess with a screw in it, remove this and get your self a oil can with a long flexy hose because I'm assuming that your trim pump is tucked away under the rear deck some where that is hard to get to. If it is full, sounds like you may need to give it a good once over to clean it out. If so then dont forget your rams as well.

Kiwi

BOATERNTEXAS The motor needs to be in the up position. Depending on which ram set up you have the rams will need to be bleed individually. You really need a manual for this, check with your local libary.
