V 143 Jetflite?

I'm thinking about finding one for a restoration project. A friend of mine had one back in the early 70's and I think it would be nice to bring one back from the brink. They don't seem to be a very popular model for collectors. Anyone know why? Sure they're small, but I'd only use it for some fun on calm water. One thing I remember about my friends boat- when accellerating from rest, the bow would aim for the sky unless we physically laid ourselves over the windshields. I think power trim would've fixed that little issue...
Any comments?

Great pics Ron! They sure bring back some memories for me.
I've found a couple candidates but so far I haven't jumped.

That site that the pics are on is a good place to watch, they come up for sale there occasionally.I hope to get mine back in service this coming summer before I get too old to enjoy it.They are not that plentiful so it is nice to see one once in a while. You will get lots of compliments on the great lines of the boat.Keep us posted.Ron G

neighbor has one sitting out back that is just wasting away....talked to him the other day and he said he would sell me the hull for $200....think I am going to get it sometime in the next month....near as I can tell its between a 1961 and 1964 but not sure if its a Jetflite 143 or a Skiflite 142....wouldn't take too much to restore....has a small soft spot in the floor but the stringers and transom looks good...needs repainted and a motor and controls...wife is not too happy....she doesn't care for my projects. I will post pics when I get it home.

Question. Does your boat have a wind shield. I aquired a 1961 Jet flite that does not have one and pictures i have seen are not matching my hull.
