I pulled this from an 18' Glenwood (thats what i think it was) and am looking to ID it.
Associated Gear LA Calif is in the casting and 317 10% is stamped in the top.

Not that I can add much about the V-drive itself, but what are you looking for?
It's a vintage v-drive gear box out of a pretty neat looking vintages flat bottom. In the right hands that would be a fun little restoration project and would be neat to restore " old school". Love the small exhausts! Do you have any more pics of the boat?

I would guess the boat is 1960's with that style plate on the transom.

Ned, I'm an old wood worker and there was not enough wood left to restore. Even the ribs were soft. It has since found the local dump. The only use this might have been good for would have been to be a pattern. I'm looking to sell the V-Drive on ebay but can't find one like it or any info about it.

Ok, for EBAY I don't know that you really need to find that much specific info on it. I would simply list is as a vintage V-drive for a flat bottom or a drag boat. The vintage guys looking for stuff will find it.

To bad about the boat. I enjoy wood working & boat restorations too. The boat in my signature is my antique Jersey speed skiff (cir. 1940). Have had it 35 yrs now and am in the middle of my second complete restoration.
