Does anyone know if I can substitute a metal-housing float bowl for the plastic ones? I have a 110hp from 1986 that uses a plastic one on top, and metal on the bottom. The plastic one on top looks deeper, yet houses the same exact orifice plugs as the metal one. The reason I ask is the bottom (metal) one has a broken fuel inlet nipple and i've got a pile of spares but all plastic. to pick up a used metal one would set me back about $80.
