v4 xflow evinrude crankshaft seal rings

In process of first rebuild and would like to replace crankshaft seal rings as they look worn OMC service manual mentions to change them according to stripe code (1,2 or 3). What or where can I find information about stripe code? I have feeler gages to check clearances. FYI 1984 V4 crossflow 100 Hp commercial Evinrude.

Any suggestions on replacing all bearings or not? Split center, upper and lower ball, connection rod cap bearings? All bearings look ok. This was rebuilt .020 over about 1 year ago not by me.

Picked up block Saturday bored/honed .044 over to use Wisco pistons. Do I need to break edges inside cylinders at the exaust/intake ports? bevel break?

Any suggestions to get outer black paint off but leave underlying metalic blue paint?

I wouldn't replace the seal rings unless they are broken. That would be a very unusual situation. They are typically not a wear item. Typically the bearings can be reused also, tho most shops prefer to change them. Inspect each-if they have any color change (like they turned blue due to oveheating) replace them.
