Seems that today is post a link day, heres my contribution.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/03/16/plame.statement/index.html

<<Lives are at stake'

The harm that is done when a CIA cover is blown is grave but I can't provide details beyond that in this public hearing.

But the concept is obvious. Not only have breaches of national security endangered CIA officers, it has jeopardized and even destroyed entire networks of foreign agents who, in turn, risk their own lives and those of their families to provide the United States with needed intelligence.

Lives are literally at stake. Every single one of my former CIA colleagues, from my fellow covert officers to analysts to technical operations officers to even the secretaries, understand the vulnerabilities of our officers and recognize that the travesty of what happened to me could happen to them.>>

Re: alerie Plame Wilson: I worked on secret missions

President Rummy is gone, President Rove is next, President Cheney should be close behind. All that leaves us is the guy that seems to THINK he's the President. You know why he's renegging on his promise to take care of the leakers, don't you? I mean it's not like he can fire all of them. Who'd be left to lead the country? ;)

The Wilsons are true American patriots. I mean the OLD definition of the word. The one we used before the Big Brothr Act defiled it.

If this is such a slam dunk Mr Tree, why is Mr Armatage still out and about? We do need to cut through this spin at some point and reach a cornclusion. Either she was traveling overseas doin' secret stuff, or she was a political activist tryin' to bring down a President and hurt a war effort that the majority in her party voted for. BTW SHE and HER husband are liars!! JR

Either she was covert by law or she was not covert. I thought that the Liberal Elite were pulling the wool over your eyes. Me bad! It was you all, doing it to yourselves all along.

Simple question! Why has no one been charged with blowing a covert cover, hmmmmmmmm? This is nothing but a witch hunt, in part, to satisfy the self delusional rank and file.

'cause JB, there were things posted in the other file that they could not argue with. So they start a new one to mollify their self-delusional position.

The entire Valerie Plane scandal is the result of politicians with very bloated egos, who justified almost any means to reach their goal.
Maybe they were communists, after all,it is Karl Marx who said that the end justifies the means.
You see Boomyal, those danged commies are hiding in places where you don't expect them!

I thought that anything a CIA agent did was secret, could be as easy as getting a sandwich for the boss, wouldn't want folks knowing what he likes to eat. And heck if the NYT can blab about wiretapping and bank accounts, and anything it pleases, why can't someone blab about a Lame wantabe?

No problemo, send them all to jail, they wont be there long, they get pardoned as W leaves office, We know how that works. We live by example.

Regardless by whose definition you use whether she was "Covert" or not, it certainly wasn't Armitage's, Rove's, Libby's, or Cheney's role to decide whether she was or not.

And what I always will fail to understand is why her identity being revealed would have any impact, one way or another, on Joe Wilson's credibility.

Whatever, it is a sad tale in the history of this country, for sure.

Actually it can be Cheney's decision of whether she was or wasn't under cover. If Cheney was given the authority by President Bush. I continue to marvel at those who have "deep concern" for "hero" Plame, and nothing but excuses for Sandy Burgler, leaky Leahey, and war hero Kerry.

"Since when are documented liars - patriots? "

All politicians are liars, some are much better liars than others, now since we've established that liars cannot be classified as patriots we are therefore totally screwed when comes election time, perhaps we need to vote for those who are not lying patriotic Democrats or Republicans.
I wonder from where can we find our next president? Come to think of it i do not ever recall my dog telling a lie, nor for that matter my neighbor's horse.
Dogs and horses do well in races, Don't they?

Crikey, I know I'm new here, but I've been around the government for a long time, in it, retired from it, and still a contracted part of it. This is politics gentlemen. The defiled Valerie admitted in an interview she was a Democrat. Her husband, who was sired by a long line of Republicans, is ALSO a democrat. Imagine that, a youngin going against the status quo and the old man.

This is poitics. The more she blathers on, the more the liberal press prints her idiotic diatribe. Regardless of who did what and who said what, she has signed numerous non-disclosure statements. Anything she says, despite the provocation, could also risk prosecution if she ever divulges active or retired covert ops.

I repeat, Politics. Bush is evil. Republicans are evil. NeoCons will ruin the world. THAT is her true message. I'm just surprised slick Willie isn't lurking close by with a White Owl Ceeegar while his arranged wife, the "candidate" pontificates on top of a box of "All Temp-A-Cheer!!!

You are correct, Willie. Wait till China figures out that the Neo-Cons can't be trusted, and start to spend the money required to challenge the "Only Super Power left" fallacy the neo cons cling to.

The problem with the "Schoolyard Bully" theory of foreign policy, is that everyone in that schoolyard is cheering for someone to take that bully out, and it doesn't matter what they offer as an alternative.
