Does anybody know how much or the value of a 1973, 24’ PENN-YAN Tunnel Drive? Boat is in fear condition and 351-commander engine was rebuilt. Thank you and Happy Holidays, Armando

Go down to the “Project Boats and Backyard Boat Building” forum.
Read the current thread “Criss Craft” started by “catfishking”.

Your best bet is to go to boat trader magazine(I think they have an on-line version). Kinda tough to give an estimate for a 30 year old boat with an unknown powerplant, no picture, no location and a two sentence description. Sorry.

Bondo, You’re absolutely right! Unfortunately, I already own this boat and I got fortunate enough that a drive-by person is interested in trading his boat for mine. I just need to find out the value of my boat (1973, 24’ PENN-YAN)

I Sure Hope that the "drive-by person " Doesn't read this board.....
Around here, on the St. Lawrence river, You'd be Hard Pressed to get more than $2500. for it.....

Good Luck...

i searched for penn yan on the web, 1970-1980, 20'-28'. prices ranged from $1,300 to $14,000. looked like the engine condition made the most difference. good luck-

Is that a cabin boat or the decked runabout?

Bondo/mattttt25, Thank you for your comments and assistance. The drive-by person is aware of the condition of my boat, and he is also aware of the valuable toys I have put into it. The boat he is trading me is a much smaller boat “and that’s exactly what I’m looking for” The trailer that my boat sits on, it probably has more value than his boat, in which compression on his Johnson engine 200 HP is 75 PSI, the steering arm is completely rusted and in need of immediate replacement and the steering cable need replace not to mention all gauges are missing.

BILLP, This boat does have a cabin with a flybridge. Today I found the following website andif go there, you'll see one just like it. {http://www.home.eznet.net/~pennyan/pypa/brokerage.htm} Thank you guys, Armando
