Hi all,<br /><br />I was hoping I could get some opinions from others on the resell value of my boat. Blue book appears to be $3500 for the boat (without trailer), an 88 Wellcraft 192 Classic (19.2 foot cuddy). GM 4.3 w/ Cobra OMC outdrive. Has average condition canvas cover and bimini top.<br /><br />Engine and outdrive in great shape, no overheat problems, no gear or cluch/shift problems (has the new shifter cable), previous owner replaced man/risers 4 years ago. 50/50 fresh/salt. Exterior average to slightly above average - some minor dings in the gelcoat and very minor crazing near a couple cover snap buttons. Interior replaced (deck and cuddy) 3 years ago. Engine area corrosion is minimal except for the exterior of starter, steering pump and steering cyl which looks ugly but is nowhere near ruined.<br /><br />My additions: 10 gallon bait tank, New VFH Radio and antenna, New Stereo/CD Player and speakers(2), New garmin 162 GPS + Bluechart Americas california/mexico, New Garmin Fishfinder 160, New Anchor kit, new bilge pump, new fuel sender, new temp sender, new pressure sender, new universal rod holders (2), new pole racks (for 6). New trailer tires + bearings and brake system re-build. Trailer ('94 AROS single axel w/ brakes) is in average to good shape (galv), bunks and rollers look new. Full tune-up incl plugs, wires, dist and timing. Lots of electrical replaced. Lots of other nickle and dime things (boy do they add up!).<br /><br />Basically I bought this boat (my first) and spent about 1 month and $3K on it to fix any/all potential problems and install some toys (Catalina fishing boat!). Boat now runs beautifully no problems whatsoever thanks to the help of all on this forum!. 1 Catalina trip and a dozen local close-shore trips + 3 lake trips under the belt.<br /><br />I am not planning on selling it yet but am wondering how much of the $4000 boat purchase price and $3000 I have put into it can be expected to be recovered upon sell sometime around late '04 to early '05 (if I can wait that long before upgrading to a bigger boat /g/).<br /><br />Thanks for any opinions!!!
