Hello,

I have an Evinrude 1989 or 1990 model 150XP with a three blade SS prop. It has the three carbs and VRO. The carbs were rebuilt at the end of last season and it has only been run about three times since. It is in good working condition, however compression on one cylinder is about 10 pounds lower than the other five but it starts and runs fine. It also has had the powerpack and voltage regulator replaced in the last couple of seasons so those parts are fairly new.

I also have a spare 3 blade SS prop for it and would like to know a fare price to get for the engine and also the spare prop.

Thanks,

ChevyReb

Re: Value of OB Engine???

Be aware that NADA prices are normally lowballed. It is only a base to go by. Yours may be worth much more depending on your location and of course, the shape of the motor. Whatever someone is willing to pay is the general rule. Check around for motors like yours for the going prices... Do a decarb and see if you can get that compression up in the one cylinder... 10 pounds is not bad anyway, but real close would be better...

I would reference E-bay and look at the sold items list. This would also help your value estimate.

Bob
