Valvue of 1984 Evinrude

Greetings, first time user here. I am thinking about buying a used 1984 8hp Evinrude short shaft with low hours on it. What is the approximate value of this motor? ANy thoughts will help. Thanks

Condition and where you're located makes a huge difference in what its worth.

I've bought and sold allot of small outboards in the last 20 years. Right now, assuming good cosmetic and running condition , I'd say $475-$550.

BTW, Those 80's vintage OMC 8hps were nice motors! Same low weight as the 6 hp ( about 55# as I recall), easy to start and VERY peppy. I have the 6 hp Johnson version and it runs like a top every summer when I haul it out of storage to go to ME fishing.
