velvet drive transmission stuck to engine help

HelP! 1974 boat with a 351 and a velvet drive 71c 1 to1 transmission. the transmission is stuck in the engine. All bolts have been removed. The transmission only comes back 1/8" from the bell housing and stops. Somehow I need to remove this transmission

Any ideas??????

most likely the velvet drive splpined input shaft is corroded/ rustedin the the
splined section of the coupler.It`s bacically a clutch disc without the clutch material
