I just brought my boat home today after having it's preseason tune up. Anyhow, they ran it for a bit of course, however, when I brought it home and parked it in the driveway I noticed it starting to vent fuel out of the overflow. It was quite warm here today (30c/ 90f) so could have this been expansion? My tank was right full for the winter, however, with it being run for the tune up I didn't think this could happen. When I opened the main fill opening and it seemed to stop. Any ideas on what was happening?

Re: Venting Fuel

sounds like liquid is trapped in the vent line and as the fuel in the tank expands its forcing it out, by opening the fill cap its now venting from the fill port.<br />its fairly common, sometimes the drystack building sounds like a rain forrest if the days warm rapidly. most those hulls were winterized in late fall early wither with temps in the 30's, 80 degrees outside can mean 90+ inside on the top racks.
