With my merc verado 175 ,While out in my boat motor would only go to 2000 rpms. Code #9 on gages said (engine power limited engine guardian is active reduce rpms) made it back to dock checked oil and it was low at the bottom of dipstick assuming this is why i had code. Then I also noticed a small amount of oil coming out of bottom of motor just enough to leave an oil sheen on water. When I connected factory flush on motor more oil came out just enough to have a sheen on water. Motor only had 56 hours and is 3 yrs old .
