VERY sensetive carb on OMC

My carb on my 305 omc (2bbl) is so sensetive, that it floods if you pump more than once and if you dont it just wont start (sometimes>>) its weird and once its running and warm it starts right up in N.. with no pumping. Any suggestions,? the mechanic i use has said its just a ***** to start. and the carb seems ok.. just like to know any opinions. And in regards to previous posts..re: hydrolock... the mechanic said he thinks it was fuel locked? i dont know about that. could flooding be my problem here regarding all past post?

If it floods that easy there must be a reason, maybe the choke is sticking, or the vaccum break is not opening up the choke a little when it starts, or the float is sticking. Need to go thru the carb and get it set right.
