VHF Channels in Labrador??

Other than the continuous coast guard broadcast on WX - I have heard nothing on the other channels. Do anyone even use them in Upper Lake Melville? If so what is the standard rec boater chat channel. I don't know if there are even any other Labradorians from my neck of the woods on here.

I know I can receive but was wondering if I can be heard when transmitting.
