I have a vhf radio for listening in on fishing chatter as well as emergency monitoring and communication on Lake Erie.
I have a cigarette adapaters in both my boats for quick power but I'm searching for an antenna that can easily be switched between boats, I seldom go out more than 3 or 4 miles mainly just want to listen in on the perch fishing traffic. The mounts I looked at require the cable to go through the mount and the connector then installed so there goes the idea of just unscrewing the antenna from and screwing it onto the other.
anyone have a similar situation between boats.
