VHF Radio Question?

Is it normal for my boat stereo to cut out when I am talking (TRANSMITTING) on my Marine VHF Radio.

Nope, not normal. Do you have a good ground, or is your VHF and stereo sharing the same ground? You should have a dedicated ground for the VHF.

they are both using the ground in the fuse block inside my console.

All my electronics are brand new. i am using the shakespear 36" stainless antenna mounted to the starboard side of my console.
