VHF Radio

is anyone using a Midland Regatta 2 radio with a GPS connected to it and if so what GPS are you using? (Midland was NO help)

I read your manual online and it has a PS2 connector for the GPS which is something i have never seen before ?


BUT did they give you the other hafe of that PS2 plug ? You will need one and it should break out into 3 wires

1.single ground
2. input from the GPS
3.output to the GPS

There all the same it is just a matter of finding the wire color they use

the manual is useless you would think someone at Midland could ID the wire colors

the people at Midland was useless. there are two wires coming out of the
PS2 plug and are labeled + & -

According to the Midland manual it states the following:

GREEN: to GPS +
YELLOW: to GPS -

These two wires will hook up to your GPS NEMA outputs.

Not all VHF radios output to the GPS and it looks like this one doesn't have that feature.
