I have a 2005 FW horizon 200, with 5.0 gxi and single prop SX; this past weekend at Lake mead it started acting funny. Once i throtle up, it will vibrate the entire boat, also it will take a while for it to catch speed. Once I got to the dock, the bilge came on automatically and stayed on till I got to the wipe down area. I also had problems putting it on the trailer(low power). the boat has the 2+2 warranty on engine; I will be taking it to the shop. Can anyone give me an idea of what could it be?
Thanks
Mark

Who did the winterization?
Sounds like it could be a cracked manifold....
I would run it on muffs to see if there is any water leaking from the cooling system.......
But if you are under warranty, good for you......:)

Re: vibration coming from engine

I might have found the problem, I hooked up the garden hose to engine (has hook ups for it from factory) and ran engine, no leaks coming from manifolds, found the boot that covers the u-joint going to outdrive torn; therefore removing all the grease in it. Could this be the problem? Will I have some more damage becouse of this?

While the water will leak into the boat, being fresh water i don't understand how it could cause your vibration because of a water leak.
You didn't by any chance run the engine with the drive all the way up did you? That would damage the ujoints, and rip a bellows that should last at least 5 years, and possibly damage the transom shield and drive.
Time to get the drive off and do some inspecting.

Sorry to bump in here, but this is a good time. Don if backing your way off a sand bar and say reving her up to 1500-2000 rpm in reverse could that do a bit of damage.....a burst of 3-5 second's for about 10 feet, high trim but the prop still well under the water??........umm ok maybe a bit out..
