Vibration when turning.....

We just got our boat last year so I don't have much mechanical experience with it(yet). I noticed last year that when I would make a fairly high speed turn that somtimes I could feel a vibration throughout the boat. It was not very bad, but it was definately noticable(to me). I'm guessing some sort of u-joint problem maybe? Could it just be that the engine is trimming too high and causing this?? Can anyone help an I/O dummy?

Oops sorry....Yes Mercruiser....'91 AlphaOne

Are the u-joints hard to change by a fairly competent shadetree mechanic?

Not real hard. Napa autoparts can get them also. Just take your time. Make sure to get replacements that have grease fittings. They changed to un-greasable around your year model. Remove drive every year and grease. Make sure to get the outdrive gasket kit. If you need the part numbers let us know.
