Vibration While Turning

1997 Fourwinns, 18', 5.7L volvo penta, Cobra outdrive.
While turning sharpley and accelerating at low speed I can feel a growling or vibration in the boat. The U joints were checked and lubricated recently.
I am thinking gimbal bearing, Any advice or opinion is welcome.

Certainly check the bearing, but also re-check the u-joints again. The engine alignment should also be checked before re-installing the drive. Most likely the u-joints.
