Viking outboard info needed

I have an old Viking outboard 35hp motor that i need to get some info on. I’ve tried googling the model number but nothing helpful comes up. The model is 354041 and serial # 1101.

I’m hoping someone on here has some info or know where i could find something. He motor is running, but don’t have all he wiring figured out, just enough to work the choke, and start. It also won’t pick up any water, which I’m assuming is the impeller or clogged intake.

My Dad worked for the T. Eaton Company until he retired. Eatons sold rebranded OMC outboards until the early 1970's then switched to just Johnsons. They also sold some Gale outboards as Vikings. We even owned a Viking (Polaris) Snowmobile.

Your 35hp, is most likely a Evinrude.

Actually, It appears the Vikings were made by Chrysler from 1965 on.

Didn't see your model number listed, but it looks like the model number breaks down something like:

35 - HP
4 - Viking Brand
0 - Year (9 here would be 1969 it seems, so maybe 0 is 1970?? :noidea: )
41 - Not sure... Maybe an indicator of slight model changes or feature in a given year?
