vintage japanese wooden boat

i own a 1958 sodeno zosen mahogany runabout boat. it was built in nagoya japane and imported to calif. in 1958. it came to canada in the 1970's. i am looking for any information on the boat and or its history. any help or leads are greatly appreciated.

tburkitt,<br /><br />I contacted my friend, Kenji, who lives in Nagoya. He is a fisherman, but non boater. He checked out the net in Japanese but could not find the company. He also tried the phone book and they were not listed.<br /><br />Sodeno is a rather rare family name, probably the name of the founder.<br /><br />Zosen is "shipbuilding" or " boatbuilding" so the company name that made the boat is Sodeno Boatbuilding. <br /><br />I checked out the web site that BW17MT posted and it looks like a nice boat.<br /><br />Sorry I couldn't help more.
