I’m looking for a spray-on product that can clean the vinyl in my fish and ski. I’ve tried simple green and 409 with barely noticeable results. I don’t think acetone would be a good choice? The vinyl is in really good shape for 22 years. I think it’s worth cleaning so what do you folks suggest?
thanks

In no particular order I have used in the past...

Meguiars Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner
Starbrite Mildew Stain Remover

Followed up with a protectant/restorer.

IF you have it, check your owners manual from Glastron. They may have a concoction of items: amonia, distilled water, and hyrdogen peroxide - that they recommend to clean with. My FourWinns had that in one of the vinyl pamphlets. I don't have it at my fingertips to give the ratios. It worked quite well though!

Edit: Found it on a previous post of mine...

Four Winns had this concoction that I have used with no issues (**This was on my Four Winns so I strongly recommend testing in a small patch first as your mileage may vary with this!!)

(1) teaspoon ammonia
1/4 cup Hydrogen Peroxide
3/4 cup distilled water

Rinse with water and dry....I always used a vinyl conditioner after this as well.

These guys are an iBoats sponsor and they sent me some samples a couple of years ago. I must say I was impressed.

Having use about every product out there this is one of the best if not THE best I've use. Having said that, there are some vinyl stains that are Impossible to get out completely. If you find this to be true you can dry some of this...

It works great and holds up very well.

I haven't used the 303 cleaner (yet), but I use their 303 Aerospace Protectant on my vinyl and I really like it. After cleaning, it does a nice job of protecting vinyl without leaving it all greasy or slippery feeling.

Well I ordered some of the 303 products. In the mean time I mixed up some of the cleaner suggested by briangcc. In conjunction with some cleanser it seemed to work pretty well. Fortunately the vinyl is not in to bad of shape.
