Vinyl

Has anyone put vinyl to cover their fence? I have the boat name on ours and have had trucks lettered in vinyl and it held up very well for years. I am thinking of using it to recolor the fencing and then a layer on top of the solid color for accents. Seems like it would be easier than repainting it. Having to tape off all the rails. The toon is moored on a river off the gulf. Full sun and brackish water.
What do you all think?

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. There are all kinds of vinyl skins to put on cars. Vinyl is used for street signs and they are in the sun all the time and in various climates.

There are examples on another site where they had vinyl skins created that they put on their fence paneling. Looked pretty cool. I'll find a post with an example am Im it to you since we cannot post potential competitor sites publically.
