VIP Quality

Where do VIP boats stand in terms of quality and reliability when compared to other boat companies like Bayliner, Sea Ray, Crownline, etc...

I'm looking at a 2000 VIP Vixen with a 5.0 Merc as my first boat. What do you guys think and know about VIP boats?

They are still in business which is a very good indicator!

Thanks. Yeah I found that section on the site already. Pretty generic information. I was hoping for some first hand experiences with these boats.

VIP is a good boat. It?s a step above the Bayliner. I?m not real sure how it compares to Crownline and Sea Ray but they seem to be in about the same category. The Merc 5.0 is a good power plant. All the brands you named can be had with the Merc 5.0 so reliability should be the same on all. What condition is the boat in? Got any pics?

Mine is a 2001 VIP Viva bowrider with Merc 3.0-it runs like a champ---very good quality--has held up great-

I feel it is a very good boat.
