Is it me or is Vista the south end of a cow going North? Bought a new computer and it came with Vista Home Premium. I keep getting this message that the windows screen frame has been turned off. I think I am trying to say I do not like it.

Can I go back to XP?

Take care

Re: Vista

Lots of folks are a bit disappointed in the new Vista OS. Yes, you can go back to XP, you'll need the XP OS cd of course. Going back involves doing a reformat and possibly hunting up some drivers, but it's not a big deal.

Re: Vista

Vista is a POS!!!!! I have many people ask me to take their new Vista machines back to XP. The core of Vista is XP. All they did was add a lot of flash that takes up resources. I'm just guessing but, I have a feeling that Vista will go the same way that ME did. Those MAC commercials were right on the money (lol) especially the one about the junkware.

I haven't fooled with it very much, but I wasn't impressed. I believe that unlike Windows ME, Vista is here to stay. They've got too much invested in it.

Re: Vista

I put it in my computer at work and have not had to many problems. The biggest pain in the ***** was a popup asking if I was sure I wanted to do something. Turned that off and no problems. But it is the business edition, not the home. Also running office 2007, now that's a different story.
