Hi just undertaking rebuilding the trim rams (3860881)
on my volvo penta 290 outdrive as one of seals was weeping. Question is how do you fit the plastic part of the seal kit that sits over the oring on the piston part of the ram.
As you slide it over the piston it seems to stretch it and then you can't push it into the body of the cylinder without damaging it i have smeered everything in ATF hoping that this will allow it slide with no success.
