Hello everyone, need to this,

I have 1992/Force 120 has low hours, just had a tune up but my voltage meter is flicking alot, it usually reads under 12 most times 11 and goes down to 10, if I shut the engine off it goes back up to 11, when new it use to be around 13 help. In the instruction guide I received with the boat it doesn't mention of a alernator or anything,

Re: voltage discharge

Try putting a good, fresh battery in and see if the volts come back up or not, Could be a sick battery.

c/6

Hooty

Re: voltage discharge

I'd suspect a defective voltmeter or bad wiring to it. Check the voltage at the voltmeter terminals with a stand alone digital voltmeter. See if they agree. That will eliminate the voltmeter. Also check the batt. voltage. See if its what you have at the voltmeter terminals. that will eliminate the wiring...... :)
