Voltage regulator for 1960 Johnson 40hp with Prestolite generator

I need a voltage regulator for my '60 RDSL-22-C.It has a prestolite generator.(well,it will have if I can find a regulator!)no luck from ARCO&NAPA.I also need a drive belt.Thanks!

I believe that it is a common Ford regulator. Used to buy mine at any auto parts store. Bring in the old one and it can be matched up with a reference book.<br /><br />AS of a couple of years sgo, the gen belts were available through jonhson/Evinrude dealers for about $50.

Why pay a lot when you could have bought the exact same item at your nearest auto parts store?

Couldn't find it at any auto parts store.They didn't have any listing for a 10 amp,12 volt regulator.

NAPA here didn't have one either. The closest they had wouldn't mount into my junction box either. Besides the closest they had was a 20 amp and the older motors use a 10 amp.
