Voltage regulator/rectifier needed 40AMP water cooled

Hello Boaters:
I'm in search of a voltage regulator/rectifier 40 Amps Water Cooled. It is for a Mercury 150 Black Max serial 0C27xxxx. The stator I have is two (2) yellow cables. If one of you have a good working one or know where to find it. PLEASE, let me know.

CDI Electronics likely carries them. Sometimes you replace a single 40A regulator with duel 20 A regulators. I don't think the Merc VRs were watercooled, at least not directly.

I think I've got one in the shop. I'll take a look tonight when I get home and let you know. I know I have at least one good 40amp. Are you converting from a 16 to a 40?

Nop, my system is 40 amps already. Do you know if I can replace that regulator by another one 40 amps?

I just went through my stash box and I have three 16 amp. I thought I had a 40 but not so. I must have given it to someone.

I always upgrade to the 4 wire stators and use dual rectifier/regulators. CDI sells a complete kit and Merc sells a block off plate for your exhaust divider.

It was buggin me so I dug through a couple of more boxes and found another one. I labeled it when I took it off a 40 amp motor and it has the same part number as the other ones. I guess they're all the same. So I either have 4 16's or 4 40's.

PM me if you really want one. I can't guarantee the condition since these things were known to get really hot and fail often. You may be just getting another headache.

Please let me know price and if you ship to Puerto Rico. USPS preferred. The new part is covered with a warranty? just in case it does not work.

If it's water cooled, it's 40 amp. 16 amp had the little 3 post rectifier on the switchbox mounting plate.

Cool then I have 4 40 amp water cooled rectifier/regulators. Whooopie! Maybe I can shine them up and make paperweight Xmas gifts out of them.

If they're good, and you clean them up and put em on eBay, they're gold.

Hey Steve if yours has the part number 815279-x they are the 16/40 amp models as they are dual purpose.(see 1st pic below) He has the "divider plate" style(2nd pic). I doubt you have any engines old enough that came with the "Divider style" rec/reg and if you do they are worth $250 each used.
