I have a 1973 glastron with a ford 302 and a 270 VP outdrive had a bad shake in it. I took the out drive off and there is nothing left of the bearings. I was wondering If need to remove the engine or if I can do it with out taking the engine out. Also what parts do I need if any one would have the part numbers. Any other help/ advise would be great. I replaced the ujoiunts last year and thought that the bearing were all right guess I should have replaced them too. Thanks for the help.

You should be able to pull the bearing out w/o removing the engine, just be sure to get it back in correctly because its a little hard to see inside. My DPS drive has a grease fitting you have to line up w/ the bearing. GO to Marinepartsexpress.com for breakdowns for part number. aftermarket bearings are available for less but the OEM bearings aren't too pricey.
