I have a 04 monterey 265 cruiser with a volvo 5.7 gxi duo prop. this motor seems way under powered for this boat. it takes a long time to plane out. and a very long time for the rpms to rise. it takes about 25 seconds to get on plane. i have had other comparable boats with a merc 5.7 and volvo 5.7 and both of those boats could get on plane with 1/2 throttle. so i am just wondering if there could be something wrong with the motor? it just seems way under powered for a only a 6000lb boat.
