Hey Guys,
Have a problem with raw fuel ending up on top of the water and excessive fuel delivery. The engine requires some throttle when cold starting or it will surge until it's warm. After it's warm it runs great but still leaves a rainbow of fuel coming out of the exhaust, which I suspect is unburnt fuel. The fumes are pretty narley too.
Using a clear tube (per the manual), I connected from the vapor chamber on fuel cell to throttle body. No sign of fuel but I only did this at idle and not under load. The manual says to next change the regulator but before I do so, I wanted to run it past all the volvo tech heads!
I haven't checked fuel pressures yet. My question is this: Can the fuel pressure regulator dump more fuel without the ECM trying to compensate?
The only symptoms I have is rainbows on top of water out of exhaust and high fuel consumption.
