Volvo AQ131 Heat Exchanger temperature?

Volvo AQ131. How hot should the heat exchanger be to the touch on the outside. If it is too hot to touch with the hand is this normal or is there circulation problems? Aloha

Can't say as I have ever checked one to see how hot they get. The engine will normally run at 190? which is hotter than todays marine engines run. But the Volvo 4 cyl OHC engines ran that hot.
Are you having an overheat problem ????
