Volvo Bellows Question

I have a Volvo Penta Cobra SX (1998) and have just recognized a large rip in the bottom bellows when the lower unit is in the up position. I need to replace it but can only get one end off. Is this a do it yourself job? The other end goes into the outdrive, looks like I would have to take it off. Is this true? Lastly, I assume this is the exhaust bellows. Could I have harmed something by driving in the lake last weekend?

Much Thanks..

Re: Volvo Bellows Question

if its the exhaust bellows I would not sweat it. they have slots in then to drain the water. it is designed to have water in it. repair it at your leisure.
good luck and keep posting

Re: Volvo Bellows Question

Yes your drive has to come off to replace it and I would get it fixed ASAP but it wouldn't prevent me from going out this weekend
