Replacing the heads on my two AQ131D motors with automotive heads. I am going to buy two complete auto heads and just change the cams over. I just pulled the heads on both motors. Does anybody know where I can get the Volvo Cam press/lock tool for less than $200. Can this job be done without the press tool? Can I check and adjust the valve shims if necessary before putting the heads on the motor. Was thinking it would be easier on my back by checking and adjusting on the shop bench, but not sure if the head needs to be torqued down first. Any other help or suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Thanks for the help and comments!!!
