volvo duo prop bent

I have a 2006 Chapparal Signature 276 with a 5.7L Gxi 320HP Dual Prop I/O. What props do I need and can I change them in the ocean water or must I pull the boat out of the water? And I hit a rock and bent the current stainless steel prop blades, how would I know if I damaged the shaft or outdrive? The boat seems to still work fine.

You can change them in the ocean but you may have to do it from a dinghy...not fun. You need a special Volvo prop wrench to get the front prop off.

The only way to tell if you damaged the outdrive is to measure the runout on the prop shaft and hopefully nothing else was damaged.

How bad were the props hit? I hit my rear pretty good and bent over the the last 3/4" of the blades. Had it repaired for $250.
