Volvo duo, which direction of rotation

If i push the control lever forward the cable end at the drive becomes shorter (pulls in, not what it says in the volvo manual)), however the drive engages gear and the Front propeller turns clockwise and back anti,
which way will my boat go, forward or back? my head is ablaze trying to work this out.

Bypass your neutral safety switch, then put it in forward and crank the engine over (Don't start it) and see which way the props are turn.

OK Don, I did that and Front propeller turns clockwise and back turns anticlockwise, still cant grasp which way the boat will go, its ?85 to crane in the water and another ?85 to come out, if I have to change the linkage, I fitted the engine so i gotta get this bit right, thanks

Just LOOK at the props,...
1 way screws it forward in the water, 'n the other unscrews it through the water...
It should be Obvious from the angle of the blades....

nope not obvious to me , which is why i asked for help.

Ayuh,... The Inner prop should turn Counter-clockwise in forward...

Think of the blades as screw threads through wood....

Ok thanks for that, I guess i need to change the linkage.
