volvo out drive (electric tilt inop) Hydraulic retrofit

• Hello guys-The housing on my 280 Volve outdrive is broken where the tilt pin comes through (not repairable). does any one have info on a hydraulic retrofit or any suggestions other than updating the entire drive??<br />Thanks for any and all help.<br />Tom

The most inexpensive way to fix your problem is to replace your 270 shield. It fastens to the boat with 6 bolts. The reason for your shield breaking is a faulty tilt and trim motor assembly and/or the reverse lock mechanism not working. I have fixed this problem many times in my shop. If you need further help or advice you can call me at 1-800-949-2189. This shield is no longer available new. I have good housings and rebuilt tilt motors if you cannot find one where you are.
