Volvo outdrive

I need to replace my bell housing for my skipjack. I thought all along I have a 280. How can I tell for sure? I see no numbers on the outdrive itself. Thanks Doug

It's a 290 or 290A outdrive. Depends on what type input shaft and double bearing box you have on the upper gear box.

my numbers were on the transom shield, inside upper port side.
