Volvo Penta 20HP manuals/diagrams

Does anybody have any extracts or even a whole manual for a Volvo Penta 20 HP outboard ? Engine has recently had new impellors, but still no water circulating. Brass tube going back towards power head is loose. Engine is allways flushed, and is in excellent order for its age.I understand there is no thermostat.

You could try marinestore.co.uk for a manual. Even if they haven't got it in stock they might be able to get you one.<br />also try bosunsmate.co.uk/archimedes_penta.htm<br />again, if they haven't got it in stock they will try to get you one.<br />I used to have the telephone number for a stockist of spares and will try to find it and post it on here for you.<br />When you replaced the impellors did you check the plate for scoring (very common problem on these engines.<br />Also did you check for pitting in the pump housing? Again a very common problem.<br />Both problems can be solved, sometimes just by elbow grease and emery paper or at worst; going to a machine shop and getting help.<br />Hope you find the help you need, and post the results for the rest of us!
