Volvo penta 280 U-joints. Replacement.

Hey everyone, i have a volvo penta 280 outdrive and i believe the u-joints have worn out and require attention, my outdrive is in otherwise very good shape new bellows etc... doesnt leak out the top seal or prop seal.

Is there a way to replace them without ripping the upper housing off? I really dont want to especially since everything else is so nice and clean.

no, and you will need special tools and you will need an input seal, probably a thrust washer, and depending on your year of gear box, either a stack of shims or a new crush washer.
