Volvo penta 290 DP temp issue

Ok I have a 1994 Monterey 206 with a penta out drive but I can never find the right parts for it. I try to search different models and I can't find a number on the drive to verify.

Here's the issue I'm dealing with now. I ran it a few times in the spring on the hose and everything was fine but when I took it to the lake the first time this year I had an issue with temp and oil pressure. The oil pressure was going up to 80+ and the temp was starting to read 200 and wasn't going down so I stopped it and let it cool. I installed a new temp sending unit, oil pressure sending unit and thermostat and nothing changed. I ordered a new hose connection on the drive from here but it turns out I have a different one. I have a plastic neck and it has an o-ring in it not a gasket. I replaced the impeller the end of last year and pulled it to make sure it was fine. I also pulled all the lines and the screen in the back of the motor with the oil cooler and that's clear. I can feel that the risers and manifolds are cooling fine but the hose to the water pump does get hot. I changed the oil yesterday and it still reads 60-70 psi when I get it up to 2500 on the hose. I pulled the lower unit today and there is a rubber hose piece not o-ring that connects the upper and lower which I can't find a diagram or part for. Here's a couple of pics to help maybe identify.

Oil pressure has nothing in common with temp other than the voltage supplying the gauges.

Regarding the oil pressure. 80 psi plus is not a problem. That is the pressure I was running with a mehling hi volume pump in my sbc. However to verify, need to install a mechanical test gauge to verify pressure.

Need to test vs throwing parts at it.

The temp may be an issue. Verify temp with IR thermometer.

Which hose are you saying gets hot? The large (lower radiator) hose from the bottom of the circulation pump to the thermostat housing? That should be about 120-150 degrees

The motor burned up some bearings last year and melted down so I replaced it with a new vortech 5.7 long block. I'm very cautious now since I spent the money last and only have about 15 hours on the new motor.

I was just concerned with the oil psi since it was reading around 50-60 wide open last year. I swapped out the sending units on both because they were original so I figured I'd replace them either way and they were the cheapest place to start.

I put the drive back on today and ran it with different gauges and the temp went to about 190 and dropped down to 175 when I ran the rpms around 3000. The oil pressure was around 60 psi at that point.

Unless you plumbed in a good mechanical test gauge, your only reference is the $5 gauge (the OEMs pay about $5).

Plumb in a mechanical gauge and verify

I don't have the room to plumb a mechanical gauge in, the water neck covers the sender and has minimal room.

I ordered a Infrared Thermometer and I'm eating for it to get here.
