Volvo penta 4 blade prop

Hello this is my first post.
I own a 2000 Reinell 190
4.3 gs 1.79 Volvo penta
I recently purchased a new prop and thought I would share my story/mistake I made.
i have owned this boat for about 8 years now.
the boat came with an aluminum 14.5 x18p 4 blade
Last year I decided it was time to replace the prop
due to my rpms , they were very inconsistent , my top speed dropped and my hole shot was weak.
It was my bad I got to close to the bottom and dinged it good.
it wasn’t bad but It was good enough to separate the rubber from the hub and ruin the prop,
I was reading all about props on every website and trying to get an understanding of the perfect prop for your boat.
i messed up and bought an aluminum 14.25x17 4 blade not from factory
turns out that my hole shot improved tremendously!
but it dropped my top speed to like 23 mph at 4600 rpms when before I was getting about 40 mph at 4600rpm
Immediately I knew that the prop was undersized.
so I purchased another prop .
This time I purchased a Volvo penta aluminum 14.25 x 19p 4 blade
i just installed it today and will hopefully be able to test tomorrow morning!
I will post new rpm and top speed

an undersized prop would make your wot rpms go higher than specified for the engine
